Saints need to face uncomfortable Will Still sack reality before Derby visit

Southampton and Will Still are being propped up by the fans to script the next sacking headline, but Saints must open their eyes for an uncomfortable reality first.

It's not quite often for recent Southampton players to show upto Premier League work with a changed boss and not lose, one which Mateus Fernandes can relate to now. Loosely put, West Ham could be decently placed for gaining relegation progress in the present, and doesn't it ache you, Southampton fans?

On finding out that they expelled their struggling manager quicker than us. If yes, then you don't need a calculator to assess how many more points they will accumulate than Southampton just for being strict and demanding towards their coaches.

With Russell Martin, the St. Mary's kept extending their patience like a spring, until it couldn't be. That lenience provided for nothing and nobody, thus, this October the same faithfuls have dropped their pardoning nature and adopted an unforgiving stance for Will Still's flaws.

Moving from Still for being less pathetic than Martin should stay a joke

The successor wishlists are again being dusted off the shelves, just like the Premier League days. Deciding whether it's a fair treatment rests with the Saints fanbase and on this month's Championship fate, but it's an overreaction towards Will Still from one angle.

A staggering fact has been uncovered with Just Saints stating in their words: "SaintsFC's current squad would be leading the 23/24 promotion winning side on GD (+6) — with both teams sat on 10 points after eight matches."

Putting into thought, Southampton fans are forgetting the previous lamentable starting run and are willing to make the latter tactician pay for simply outshining Martin, when the going got tough in the second-tier.

Undeniably, this revelation is an eye-opener for all those Saints who woke up with reciting "Still out" chants to learn as a prerequisite for the Derby trip. Let's hope the proportion of those beliefs diminishes two nights later, and soon these sacking opinions seem silly as a collective.
