Southampton's academy gems Jay Robinson and Moses Sesay have shared the pitch alongside recent Championship prodigy Harrison Armstrong and the Saints have been prompted to add him to their ranks as well.

In the 2024 preseason, the starlet trio of Tyler Dibling, Sam Amo-Ameyaw and Samuel Edozie were dubbed as future top-flight sensations. Now, it's hard to grasp that nobody will stay at St. Mary's when August winds up.

But Southampton's in-house talent pipeline never runs dry, and now it's over to Jay Robinson and Moses Sesay to etch their names into the club's successful academy bunch.

Since the closing days of the Spain tour, Robinson has grown into a mature attacker blending his creativity with tangible goal contributions. And for Sesay, he will be often donning the U21 badges but his utility in providing energy from the bench will let him have some final half-hour cameos after every week or two.

Robinson and Sesay could play with Harrison Armstrong at Southampton

Seeing their progress, the youth trainers appointed by the English national team will also be hoping to see them rise to the coveted Three Lions roster in no time.

Likewise, Southampton can also lighten the load on the England youth setup by taking some of the key teenage talent under their wing at Staplewood. For this, the EFL Analysis have come up with Harrison Armstrong, who was most recently logging in Championship minutes at Derby County.

Let's be honest, most Saints will have thought of Adam and Stuart Armstrong the moment they saw Harrison's name. Well, full respect to Adam's second-division exploits but Harrison is a midfielder by trade, so even a minute similarity with Stuart will be a matter of pride for him, this early.

But the real statement will come when the 18-year-old begins to mirror Stuart's class on the pitch for Southampton. Whether or not the Saints can do the needful in securing Harrison, let's see.
