Shea Charles criticism is good news for Southampton fans

Graeme Bailey isn't convinced that Shea Charles has the level required for the Premier League just yet.

Admit it or not, but within weeks, Shea Charles' Southampton exit fears have taken all over at St. Mary's. And as an immediate response, Saints fans have started the blame game on every agency possible.

Days ago, the supporters singled out ex-boss Martin as the scapegoat for Charles' departure fears, who wasn't at fault completely. And should this continue, it wouldn't be long until the fans confront Shea Charles' brilliant potential for his transfer rumours, too.

But the idea of fans turn their frustration on Charles himself feels vague. That's why Saints supporters are to thank Graeme Bailey, whose recent criticism has cut their task, while doing the job better than expected.

That's because transfer expert Graeme Bailey has questioned the prodigy's current level to be insufficient for the Premier League.

Recently, speaking to EFL Analysis, Bailey opined on Charles' departure links, saying: "I don’t see him being ready for the Premier League, to be honest. I think we will see him in Southampton colours next season first and foremost."

Bailey's comment will excite Southampton fans

Honestly, seeing one of their best talents being downplayed must intrigue Saints fans. But surprisingly, the St. Mary's faithful are tipped to welcome this Shea Charles criticism with both hands.

Now, touted as a player better suited to the Championship as of current, West Ham and newly promoted Leeds may now cool off their transfer interest in Charles. Needless to say, that guarantees Saints fans the opportunity to see the youngster at St. Mary's again.

Well, if that happens, the prolonged Shea Charles saga could end up most simply. Shall this possibility turn into reality, it would excite every fan out there, but only time must confirm this.

Intriguingly, for a while, Southampton thought they had Charles as a part of their roster after calling him in January this year, but ended up loaning him again. That's why despite this being a largely positive update, we must wait to see how the player's transfer case proceeds in the transfer window.
