Southampton bring Paul Onuachu's compatriot Victor Udoh to their attacking roster.
Well, Southampton have witnessed a shortage of elite attackers at their disposal. Now, some might argue that the club recently scored twice against Ipswich Town.
Agreed, but don't let Paul Onuachu's dramatic winner hide the fact that the 30-year-old is the only distinguished player up front. Thus, signing a few frontmen is the bare minimum Southampton should prioritize before the transfer window slams shut.
After multiple rounds of negotiations, the Saints have finally put pen to paper for a centre forward recruitment. Further, that player is Paul Onuachu's compatriot as well as a number nine by trade.
Southampton finalise another Paul Onuachu-esque January signing
According to Fabrizio Romano, Southampton are bringing talented striker Victor Udoh from Belgian club Royal Antwerp.
In his own words, Fabrizio said: "Southampton agree fee to sign Victor Udoh from Royal Antwerp, deal at advanced stages."

First things first, it's a good move from the club to address the goalscoring issues. The primary reason being that Udoh is a promising wide attacker who enjoys playing in a double striker formation.
Predominantly, Southampton lineup a five man defence and thus, usually start two forwards up front. On that note, it can become relatively easier for the 22-year-old to adapt according to Ivan Juric's game plan.
To add to that, having the guidance of the national team star Paul Onuachu could lead Udoh to make rapid progress at Southampton. Hence, the Saints know that they have hit a potential jackpot with this shrewd transfer.
After all, goals win matches and Southampton needs to win plenty of them. Still, Onuachu's scenario might be at the back of the mind of the club's board.
Honestly, the Nigerian has taken much time to settle at Southampton. Therefore, the Saints must not overburden Udoh with enough Premier League expectations.
Accordingly, a balanced call should be to try and add another experienced attacker for an instant impact. Now, let's see whether the club also thinks so.
