Tonda Eckert's individual punishment for his involvement in Spygate still hasn't been confirmed.
The FA hearing into the controversial German took place on Thursday, but as we enter into Sunday, nothing has come to light as to what penalty will arrive at the 33-year-old's door.
Will it be a touchline ban that Southampton can easily shove to one side? Or, will it be something more sinister, and the young head coach will be banned outright from the game, leading to the South Coast side having to hire a replacement?
At this point, I think Southampton just want some clarity, irrespective of what the punishment actually is, as this has all been rumbling on since May.
St. Mary's icon, Francis Benali, has weighed in with his thoughts on a sanction still not being handed out, in his outspoken column for the Daily Echo.
Benali's thoughts on the ongoing situation
Making 364 appearances in total for the Saints, it goes without saying really that the St. Mary's masses respect and hang onto every word from their former defender when he pens a new article.
This time around, he has given his thoughts on the drawn out situation plaguing the club at this very moment, with Benali questioning whether or not Eckert and Co. have been punished enough, already, with their expulsion from last season's Championship playoffs an unprecedented move.
He said, in his latest musings: "I was deeply hurt that our club had been dragged into this situation in May, and part of me did believe he would have been either dismissed or banned.
But the severe punishment that the club received probably contributed to the decision to keep him, and now everybody involved wants to move forward.
If there were to be another hefty or, in some people's eyes, harsh sanction passed down to him personally, it's almost like a double whammy for the club."
Further going on to state that "the whole process has been agony", everyone associated with the club just sounds tried and broken by the ongoing ordeal, with Benali clearly engulfed by this same mindset as well.
Calling out Neil Harris' comments about the situation, too, by accusing the ex-Millwall boss of "piling in", with Harris stating that Eckert's individual penalty must be severe, it's clear that Benali is frustrated by the never-ending feel of Spygate, just like the majority of Southampton fans are.
Unfortunately, the endless waiting around for a verdict continues to drag on, with nobody any the wiser when news will break on social media.
The nervous waiting continues
At this current point in time, Eckert must feel like he's in a constant state of purgatory.
On one hand, he will want to look forward to games to come, especially the South Coast Derby against Portsmouth, but he will - at the very least - be removed from the sidelines for this tasty game.
But, he will also have the horrible worry hanging over his head of being banned from the game for some time, with reports suggesting he could be removed from all footballing action for a colossal six months.
This must be taking its toll on the 33-year-old, who pleaded for forgiveness for his involvement in Spygate after the Wrexham defeat just before the international break, knowing his penalty was coming.
There must be an end in sight, surely, with the hearing now completed.
More nervous waiting will have to be endured, though, before a verdict is made public, with lots of nails being bitten as the agonising hold-up rages on.
