Southampton take LIGHT-hearted dig at Portsmouth after Millwall incident

Southampton's official social media channel has taken an incredible dig at Portsmouth, after their match against Millwall was postponed.
Last night, Southampton fans were treated to a comedy performance, courtesy of everyone's favourite comedian, Portsmouth Football Club.
The Championship side were supposed to headline Millwall's visit to the South Coast. Unfortunately, the match was postponed due to the lights being blown at Fratton Park.
So, Millwall fans who travelled were understandably unhappy. Some Millwall fans saw some comedy in the situation, though, and even produced a bright chant, with Southampton at the heart of the joke.
According to journalist Jim White, Millwall fans chanted "How s*** must you be, Southampton have lights". Southampton also reminded Portsmouth of their ability to change a lightbulb.

Posting to X (formerly Twitter), Southampton made a brilliant post, including an image of St Marys Stadium under lights. The accompanying caption was "Football under the lights [lightbulb emoji]."
Some will call it petty, others will call it a light-hearted jab. In a season where Southampton have very little to smile about, at least we can rely on Portsmouth to provide the laughs.
Portsmouth posted an official club statement, confirming that the match with Millwall was postponed due to safety reasons. They also claimed that the circumstances which led to the postponement were "beyond the club's control."
Naturally, Southampton fans took to the replies section to provide their own two cents on the situation. One Southampton fan joked that to avoid such a thing happening in the future, Portsmouth should "pay their power bill."
Millwall are going through a great patch of form. In the Championship, they are unbeaten in the last five games. Therefore, they headed into "the match that never was" with great confidence.
For Southampton, this event is bittersweet. While the comedic outcome is great to see, it would've likely been better to see Millwall run riot at Fratton Park. Hopefully with the new fixture, Portsmouth have an electrician handy.
