Chelsea loanee Armando Broja's another unsuccessful loan spell has ended which should encourage Southampton to at least try signing him again. After all, his short cameo at St. Mary's can't easily be forgotten by Saints fans.

In the past few days, Liam Delap's Chelsea transfer has become the most talked about topic for Southampton fans. Simply, due to the emerging Tyler Dibling transfer fears it brings but there's another Blues attacker whom the Saints should keep an eye on.

That striker is Armando Broja, who has donned the Southampton shirt in the past. Now, his season long loan at St. Mary's was a grand success that led many fans hoping him to permanently join the Saints at that time.

In reality, that never happened and the whole loan spell concluded on a bad note for all of Chelsea, Southampton and Broja.

Broja's addition can treat Southampton's scoring woes

The Saints are still vying for a target man presence in the box as him, while the Blues provided him a flurry of short-term moves but Broja hasn't been able to make the most of them.

Recently, Fabrizio Romano dropped another terrible update on Broja, saying: "Everton confirm Jack Harrison, Jesper Lindstrøm, Orel Mangala and Armando Broja will return to their clubs after loan spell at the club."

Overall, that's another season where Broja's reputation went downhill, and the 23-year-old has only himself to blame for not scoring even once.

So, a return to Southampton could be in the best interests of both him and the Saints. Will Still is sure to demand a physical attacker to meet crosses and Broja exactly ticks that checkbox.

Plus, if the Albanian international could reach anywhere close to the ten goal mark in the Championship, he could be relied on to provide the goods in the Premier League, too. The reason being, Broja's experience in the English top flight which is an essential factor lacking in Southampton's attacking ranks.

Honestly, this transfer has got much exciting potential from Southampton's point of view, and let's see if it happens in the coming months.
