Southampton love snapping up a successful loanee on a permanent deal.
Indeed, both Flynn Downes and Taylor Harwood-Bellis, who were mainstays of Tonda Eckert's Saints XI last season, both started their respective journies on the South Coast as loan signings, before sticking around for good.
Daniel Peretz could soon follow down this well-trodden path, too, with reports stating that the Bayern Munich stopper is in advanced talks about returning to St. Mary's permanently, after a sensational loan stint last campaign saw him collect nine clean sheets from only 24 appearances.
The next deal to get over the line must be Cyle Larin's, surely, with the Canadian attacker retreating to Mallorca recently, ahead of the World Cup for his nation, after an equally lively loan stint.
Cyle Larin could be the next deal secured
Both Larin and Peretz entering the building mid-way through the season would go down as masterstroke loan acquistions, with the Israel international steadying the ship in between the sticks, with his Canadian counterpart added to the Saints' firepower, alongside Ross Stewart.
From just 18 Championship outings, the well-travelled striker would bag a potent eight goals, with the Ontario-born forward only needing an average of 17.7 touches per second-tier match to spark into life.
After only scoring one goal during the first half of the season out on loan with Feyenoord, this was just the confidence-boosting switch the 31-year-old needed, with his electric form for the Saints securing a space on the Canada roster for the World Cup.

Sadly, Larin's promotion dreams were cut cruelly short, with four goals across his last five games in the regular Championship season ultimately counting for zilch, as the Spygate drama surfacing saw Southampton be expelled from the playoffs.
Yet, if Peretz is keen to return, despite all this drama, why wouldn't Larin jump at the opportunity of a permanent move back to the club where he reinvigorated his waning playing days?
Larin would be up for a permanent return
With Dragan Solak backing Tonda Eckert to stay at the helm, too, Larin would love to call Southampton his permanent abode.
After all, it has been noted in a recent interview, when Larin spoke to Canadian outlet OneSoccer, that Eckert was the "main reason" he left Spain behind for England in the January transfer window, having had plenty of encouraging conversations with the 33-year-old.
Noting, too, that Southampton is a "great club" towards the end of this illuminating talk, Larin surely wouldn't say no to the Saints' advances after the World Cup, having become a different animal in front of goal pulling on Saints red and white, compared to his barren loan spell with Feyenoord.
While all of Southampton's achievements last season have been dampened by the Spygate revelations, it's clear that something was in the water, away from all the prying and spying, with both Peretz and Larin instantly falling in love with the set-up.
Gaining the experienced striker back permanently would be another major statement of intent from Eckert and Co, with Mallorca unlikely to want to keep him around, considering he has only scored an unconvincing 14 goals from 76 matches at the Pirates.
Everything is pointing in the direction of Larin following in Peretz's footsteps, but unlike the deal for the number 41 being speedy, patience will have to be exercised, as the 31-year-old will be solely laser-focused on doing well for Canada when this month's World Cup gets underway, before working out his next destination.
