Southampton were plotting a secret signing until MLS club took over

Southampton had put aside a secret Bundesliga recruitment but Major League Soccer interference denied them a transfer.

Similar to the weekend's Leo Scienza buzz, Southampton keep laying fresh transfer cards every few days. Coming to the catch, most of them never get flipped upside down.

Further, there remains a huge trace of uncertainty whether any verbal offers are brought to the conversation. Now, many Saints will liken this strategy to travelling in multiple boats at a time.

Of course, it can end woefully but the assurance of having an extra ace up the sleeve is second to none. Some suspense was created for Damion Downs, and with time, the United States ace can showcase the wisdom behind it.

Now, Southampton are claimed to have tapped into a Bundesliga midfield opportunity as well.

Saints wanted Aaronson whom Crystal Palace boss admires

Mentioning journalist Taylor Twellman, Saints Extra threw light on this saying: "Frankfurt attacking midfielder Paxten Aaronson (21) had offers from Southampton & another English club, but has instead chosen a move to Colorado Rapids."

Now, Aaronson's time in Germany flew between making the transition from a bench alternative to a regular substitute. Yet, Crystal Palace's rising tactician Oliver Glasner introduced him to European football and Premier League fans know how adept he is at forging winnable squads.

Hence, Aaronson being an unheard name for Saints has more to do with Glasner exiting his surroundings. In terms of career highlights, Will Still has been a level youth-backer as Glasner and would have welcomed Aaronson into the matchday fold on the basis of good promise in trainings.

Anyways, Major League Soccer is the 21-year-old's new stage where he needs to learn and implement new traits in his game which were lacking in his dismal Frankfurt run. So, Southampton fans let's stand behind his rise as a world class creative midfielder in his homeland.
