Southampton have now clinched their first Championship win of the season.
It would take a very late flurry of goals to seal the 3-1 victory against Stoke City on Saturday, but the St. Mary's masses weren't too bothered by the length of time they were made to wait for Divin Mubama and Ryan Manning's game-clinching goals, as a dramatic win was sealed.
As a result of all this late drama, Southampton sit on minus one points, as they start to breathe down the necks of the likes of Lincoln City near the foot of the competitive division.
One more win and the points deduction will just feel like a bad dream, although their next league encounter is against early second tier pacesetters, Millwall.
While the Saints are finally up and running, ex-St. Mary's boss Russell Martin has started life in the Leicester City hot-seat in miserable fashion, with the Foxes only on a dire one point from two League One clashes.
Martin's miserable start at Leicester
Martin won't be given much time to succeed at the King Power, as Leicester are the overwhelming promotion favourites in the third tier.
A 1-1 draw away at Notts County on the opening day could be excused as being early season nerves, but losing 2-1 to Burton Albion on your own patch is a grim result that cannot be ignored.
The Brewers would race into a two-goal lead after only 25 minutes, as Gary Bowyer's men played with no fear up against the passive, possession-heavy hosts.
To make matters worse for the sleeping League One giants, Oliver Skipp would receive a red card not long after their near neighbours extended their lead, and while Wes Burns did score, Leicester had to process another gloomy match-day without a win at the full-time whistle.
Already, the natives are restless in Leicestershire, but if they want to hold on to some minor crumbs of comfort, Martin started slowly on the South Coast during the 2023/24 season, and that ended with promotion being secured.
To make matters worse for the already under-pressure 40-year-old, though, it was a former Saints player who scored Burton's decisive second, who Martin briefly worked alongside at St. Mary's during his up-and-down year or so in charge.
The former Saints star who contributed to the Foxes loss
Indeed, Martin would move on young midfield sensation Kegs Chauke during the early days of his Southampton tenure, as he permanently moved to Burton, after showing flashes of promise at his boyhood club.
Chauke would be handed his one and only senior appearance on the South Coast by Ralph Hasenhuttl, after lining up for the Saints U18s and U21s a combined 55 times.
Martin might well have forgotten about the South African youngster, but he would have been well aware of his name again after the 2-1 loss to the Brewers, as Chauke broke his former manager's heart with that second goal.
Beating another ex-Southampton player in Alex McCarthy with the calm finish, the well-taken strike was only the 23-year-old's second goal for the League One minnows, from 96 outings.

He won't score many sweeter goals, as the underdogs silenced the King Power masses, and left the Leicester players, and the Scotsman on the sidelines, stunned.
While Martin cut a distraught figure post-match, Chauke was understandably beaming from ear-to-ear with his instinctive strike, with the number four simply stating he "didn't have much time to think about it" when analysing his crucial effort.
Leicester now know that securing promotion won't be an easy ride as they're a scalp every team will want to wear as a badge of honour.
Southampton were also dealt a rude awakening when travelling to Watford on opening day, but Tonda Eckert and Co. thankfully didn't slump to a defeat back on home soil against Stoke.
