Cyle Larin has just tasted victory for Canada on international duty.
The Southampton striker didn't get on the scoresheet, but he did get credited with an assist for the winner against Chile, as Jonathan David found the back of the net during the 1-0 win in Larin's homeland.
The Brampton Bagsman is adored by the Canada faithful, as he much as is loved at St. Mary's, with 32 international goals next to his name, away from his blistering seven-goal start in the Championship this season.
Not everyone is enjoying the elongated break and feeling content with their nation, however, with ex-Saints battler Pierre-Emile Højbjerg sticking out with his outspoken comments, while away with the Denmark camp for Nations League action.
Højbjerg's outspoken Denmark comments
Højbjerg is surely winding down his international career at the moment, with the Copenhagen-born machine now 31 years of age, and 99 caps down for his country.
He would make his senior debut for the Denmark national team two years before moving to Southampton, with the tenacious midfielder becoming a regular for his nation during his peak years on the South Coast.
Højbjerg is fondly remembered to this day at St. Mary's for being a bruising option centrally, with the current Marseille machine regularly shining alongside Oriel Romeu and James Ward-Prowse in the middle of the park.
While he enjoyed lining up alongside those two iconic Saints midfielders, he has been very vocal about his displeasure in being playing next to Morten Hjulmand, as Denmark crashed to a 3-2 defeat in the Nations League on Thursday.
Højbjerg was extremely uncensored with his thoughts when stating: “The problem is that we have two players with the same profile in midfield.
“Maybe the coach should pick one and leave the other on the bench. In the end, we must think about what’s best for the team and not our own interests.
“I’m not too proud to make this statement. Of course, it’s up to the coach to find the line-up that suits him.
“It’s not for me to decide who plays. But as I say, it’s clearly not working. It’s a bit embarrassing.”
Brian Riemer will feel undermined by his midfield veteran's comments, with it now being very intriguing to predict what lineup he will be pick for the upcoming clash with Portugal.
Back to the players who still play at St. Mary's, away from Højbjerg, there are some uncomfortable Saints figures lining up for their national team right now.

Divin Mubama won't be critical anytime soon of Lee Carsley's team selections, as he was surprisingly selected to lead the line for England U21s against Kazakhstan recently, despite only bagging one goal back at Southampton all season long.
He struggled to get going, and his awkward night was made even more uneasy by the fact that Will Lankshear would be on the pitch for only 21 minutes in his place, before he bagged England's final goal of the game in an emphatic 4-2 win.
Likewise, Finn Azaz remains goalless for the Republic of Ireland over the break, despite being in inspired Larin-style form in the Championship with seven goal contributions.
Larin doesn't feel uncomfortable in Marsch's camp right now, that's for sure, as he prays another Canada goal will come his way against Peru shortly.
It's interesting looking into matters involving all the national teams, with the Championship laying dormant for an extended three weeks, with Larin loving life with Les Rouges, while Højbjerg isn't mincing his words in a tense Denmark environment.
