Southampton are making their 18-game unbeaten run look easy at the moment.
The Saints breezed past yet another Championship opponent on Tuesday night in Blackburn Rovers, with the 3-0 win virtually secured when Cyle Larin and Ryan Manning hit the Riversiders with a double blow in the first half.
Cameron Archer made sure of the three points late on, as Tonda Eckert flexed his overall squad for the mid-week match with the relegation-threatened visitors, with Archer only making his ninth start of the season, but he didn't look ropey whatsoever.
Eckert using his full squad to secure win
Eckert has regularly freshened up his ranks this season, even if it means certain key first-teamers have been dropped, in the process.
For the match with Blackburn, this was no exception, as Leo Scienza was dropped back down to the bench to preserve his energy levels.
Into the first team frame came Archer, and the ex-Aston Villa attacker was a joy to watch, despite being such a rare starter this season, with the number 19 also collecting an assist during the straightforward win.
Eckert further had to make do without 11-goal hero Finn Azaz, due to injury, but the German didn't overthink his team selections, as he trusted the likes of Cameron Bragg to do a job, instead.
The young Scotsman did just that, as well, with a calm and collected performance put in by the number 48, who has only started six Championship games this campaign, himself.
Whatever changes are made, it just seems Southampton have found a perfect winning formula at the moment, with seven flawless victories in a row pushing them ever closer to the automatic promotion positions.
There is one bugbear in the Saints' starting XI at the moment that will be irking the much-loved head coach, as one individual just can't seem to locate his shooting boots, no matter what.
Eckert must address this problem
Southampton really did strike gold on some top buys in last summer's transfer window, looking back.
In particular, down the wings, the Saints have managed to unearth an exceptional gem in Scienza, who is now up to seven goals and nine assists for the season, after assisting Archer's late strike against Michael O'Neill's powerless side.
Unfortunately, while Scienza has hit the ground running immediately after leaving Heidenheim, Tom Fellows has never looked assured in Southampton red and white since departing West Bromwich Albion.
When Fellows joined, this was a signing that caught the eye a lot more than the Brazilian's arrival from Germany, considering he is well-versed in the rhythms of the Championship, with a stunning four goals and 14 assists last season at the Hawthorns.
This campaign, though, his performances have largely been underwhelming, with five assists all he's managed to muster up on the South Coast.
Zero goals have come his way, too, and he never truly looked like scoring againt Derby County or Blackburn, with only two shots accumulated from an unspectacular 164 minutes combined.
For a weighty £10m fee, a lot more would have been expected of the misfiring 23-year-old, with Eckert needing to drop Fellows for crunch games to come, arguably, for the likes of Kuryu Matsuki to star from the get-go instead.
After all, the Japanese livewire - much like Archer and Bragg - very rarely needs a second bite of the cherry in order to impress, with an electric four goals from only nine Championship starts.
