Dragan Solak has been vocal this off-season about wanting another number ten at Southampton.
Back in June, the vocal Saints owner admitted that he was happy with the majority of the Saints squad, but he desired a "top number ten" - as Daily Echo journalist Alfie House put it - to compete with Finn Azaz and to take the workload off the Irishman's shoulders in this position.
Indeed, towards the latter stages of the last Championship campaign, it was clear that Azaz was being overworked, with the 11-goal ace noted as "hurting" towards the end of the season, by the Serbian, as he was relentlessly used in the starting XI by Tonda Eckert without a break.
The rich owner has had his wish come true now, as Southampton have won the services of Lewis Dobbin for £9m, who bagged ten goals last campaign, interchanging between a wide array of attacking positions on the pitch.
While he did predominantly play as a centre-forward last season for loan employers Preston North End, hence his hefty goal return, he has come out to state that he loves playing in an Azaz-style number ten role, with Eckert arguably spolit for choice in this spot on the pitch after Dobbin's statement arrival.
Eckert now has a perfect Azaz rival
Dobbin opened up about his positional preferences in the interview that unveiled his blockbuster signing, with the ex-Everton youngster not pigeonholed into one spot on the pitch.
If he had to pick, though, his favourite position is "probably number ten" - as the 23-year-old revealed to the official Saints website - with Dobbin going into the more detail to state, even when he has played out on the wing, that he is "always about drifting in and trying to be as close to the goal and the box as possible, trying to link up with my teammates."
He could be the perfect rival to Azaz's concrete starting spot, therefore, with his 18 goals and assists in the Championship last campaign, only trumped by the former Middlesbrough forward just, who had 11 goals and eight assists next to his name.
This is the ultimate selection headache for Eckert, an embarrassment of riches that should hopefully propel the Saints to the very top of the league.
It's not just Dobbin's flexibility on the pitch that makes him stand out as a top quality signing, however...
Dobbin is a great signing away from just competing with Azaz
Of course, his versatile nature is a huge plus, as he can also compete with the likes of Cyle Larin up top, and Leo Scienza down the wing.
But, it's the overall eye-catching aspect of the signing, with Dobbin costing £9m, that will have people off their feet applauding the ambition of the deal, with this another sign that Southampton will be going all out for promotion, even with the horrors of Spygate still fresh.
At only 23 years of age, too, the hope will be that Dobbin was only getting started with his ten-goal exploits at Deepdale and he gets even better in the midst of a promotion race.
Southampton fans, who were down in the dumps after England were knocked out of the World Cup, will be full of energy for the upcoming Championship season, with Azaz and Dobbin ready to cause havoc together.
