Tonda Eckert cut a relaxed figure on the sidelines as Southampton faced Eastleigh in pre-season.
Indeed, the German was even pictured laughing and smiling, as a youthful Saints side comfortably got the better of the Spitfires 3-0.
You wouldn't have thought, based on his casual demeanour, that he been handed an FA misconduct charge, with Eckert found guilty of three breaches of FA rule E3.1 due to his involvement in the season-derailing tactics of Spygate.
The worry will be whether there's more to come for the Berlin-born manager when it comes to harsh punishments, despite how chilled he might first appear...
What could come next for Eckert?
A whole host of outlets have weighed in with what they think will happen to the Saints boss, who remains constantly in the media spotlight.
Indeed, former PGMOL chief Keith Hackett, when speaking to Football Insider, believes Eckert could be handed a ten-game touchline ban for his antics.
This would feel harsh but the South Coast side would be able to live with that, as after the first couple of months of the season are out of the way, he could go back to being his expressive self barking out orders.
The hope will be that he can escape a touchline ban entirely, with the Athletic reporting that it appears unlikely that Eckert will be banned, after the FA charges came to light.
Of course, nobody will take the Athletic's word as gospel, however, as it wasn't anticipated that the South Coast titans would be expelled from the playoffs, and that still shockingly occurred.
The worst penalty out there looks to be a mammoth six-month ban, with the Telegraph reporting that such a ban being implemented would result in his contract at the club being regretfully terminated.
Eckert is clearly not worried or consumed by all this talk of his shaky future, as he has been speaking of the season ahead as if it's a shoo-in that he's staying.
He remains focused on the season ahead
In recent days, the 33-year-old has been speaking at length about Southampton's ongoing summer transfer intentions.
Noting that his squad is in a "very good place" to tackle Championship football once more, these aren't the words of a man who is resigned to being a sacrificial lamb.
On top of that, he has boldly declared for his camp to "generate those moments again" as he fondly looked back on the incredible 21-game unbeaten run he spearheaded last campaign during pre-season downtime, before his dark arts became public knowledge.
He sounds defiant, in the face of all these charges, with a clear fire in his belly to be a success next season, even as name continues to be besmirched.
Until anyone tells Eckert otherwise, he will want to be the manager who steers the Saints over the finish line of promotion, but it remains to be seen whether he's allowed this shot at redemption, or whether the FA's iron fist will intervene again and he's outright banned from the sidelines.
For Southampton's sake, hopefully his fate is revealed soon, as we edge ever closer to the brand-new Championship campaign kicking off next month.
