Who should be Southampton’s top priorities to keep this summer?

4. Cedric Soares

I think that a lot of people would argue that Ryan Bertrand would be the better fullback to keep. I do not think this is necessarily the case. Cedric has been one of, if not the best right-fullback in the Premier League this year. He has sparked interest in clubs such as Barcelona and Chelsea.

It should be a top priority to keep Cedric, as he has not only been one of our best defense options, but one of our best attacking options going forward.

If you take a look at his stats, he is continually one of our most influential players. I would love to say that we should make Bertrand a priority just as much as Cedric, but the growth of Sam McQueen would make the departure a lot less hurtful.
