Monday-Tuesday

With little news or updates coming out the club on Monday, the working week’s first poll began on an unrelated note – the transfer window.

It’s seemingly a given that the Saints will sign a new centre-back this summer, after failing to truly replace the outgoing Jose Fonte in January.

However when looking at the other outfield positions, it seems like the attacking midfield and winger slot is where the fans seemingly want strengthening.

Interestingly, full-back was far-and-away the least picked option, despite the Saints fans previously stating that they felt back-up right-back Cuco Martina should depart this summer.

Meanwhile, the Saints have had mixed success in the loan market in recent years, and because of such weren’t keen for the club to dip their toes back just yet.

Despite the success of Ryan Bertrand the (short-term) success of Toby Alderweireld, it seems like Saints fans might have memories of Saphir Taider in their heads, after the Algerian left before making an appearance for the side.
