ESPN earlier was told by star winger Bruma’s agent that the Turkish league star is no longer interested in a possible move to Tottenham Hotspur. This news brings the most likely possibility of a future move being to Southampton.

Bruma has been wanting to go to the Premier League for quite some time now. His agent has been reporting potential speculations for a while, being that both Southampton and Spurs were the top contenders to get his services.

This is a different day now, as his agent has recently spoken about the potential destinations for Bruma: “We are not in talks with Tottenham. Southampton and Leicester City have registered an interest and we have held talk” agent Ibrahim Polat says.

“Bruma is keen on the Premier League and we will be holding further talks next month. Everything will become clearer regarding his future.”

The winger’s contract goes up in 12 months and he does not plan to sign any new deal with Galatasary. Now, having fallen out with current manager Igor Tudor, it is inevitable that the player is looking for a new home.

More from Saints Marching

Bruma would be a great addition to the Saints. He has been an essential playmaker to Galatasary scoring seven goals while also adding eight assists. The saints could use a winger with that kind of play-making ability going forward, as our attack seems to slowing down.

The Portuguese winger has been compared to Southampton fan-favorite Sadio Mane, so it is no surprise why Southampton is so keen to add a player such as Bruma. Whether the 22-year-old can live up to the standard that Mane brought is yet to be decided.

There is no doubt in my mind though, that the addition of this young-man could bring a lot of promise going into next season.
