Southampton have reached out to Marco Silva about becoming new manager
After another sad defeat and the third match without scoring a goal, it appears Claude Puel’s days as Southampton manager are limited.
It has been reported that Southampton have reached out to Marco Silva about becoming the next manager for Southampton. Puel is expected to be let go at the end of this month.
It has been shown in the Hull City manager’s contract that there is a release clause if the team is to be relegated. That is looking more and more likely as Hull, although in good form, continue to sit at the bottom of the Premier League.
Although there is still a chance that they retain Puel, it has been reported that the Frenchman is doubtful about the Saints retaining him at the end of the season. Recent articles are shown that teams are looking for his services back in the French league.

Silva has had an impressive run as the manager for Hull City. A team that looked destined to finish at the very bottom are now one of the most in-form teams in the Premier League. They are one spot out of the safety zone, but with matches upcoming against Crystal Palace and Tottenham it is looking tough for Hull to get out of that spot.
The fans have been calling for a Puel replacement for quite some time now, and with the new reports of Southampton already discussing a potential deal with Silva, it is looking like they may get their wish.
This may be one of the most busy transfer windows in a long time. Be sure to look out for many changes upcoming in the near future.
