Jack Grealish (Aston Villa)

It wasn’t too long ago Villa were a reasonable Premier League opposition and Jack Grealish was knocking on the doors of the national team. However, Grealish has retained his form in the championship regardless of how Aston Villa have performed.

Although I am an admirer of Steve Bruce’s management (and playing career), there is certainly a lot in it for both club and player if he did make a move to the South.

Jack Grealish is a well-known striker of the ball and also has a reputation off the pitch for less convincing reasons. Focusing on his football skills, he is a great passer of the ball, has great ball skills and takes responsibility of dead ball situations, a position which if he did move to the Saints could certainly be up for grabs with just one or two options at the time being.

He is a midfielder by trade but has potential and youth on his side to play in various positions. Gareth Bale, once a Saints Left Back, learned his trade at Saints before moving to Spurs then Real Madrid in a huge summer signing for them, and eventually took his position up front due to his ball-striking talents. I think it would do Jack’s playing career and his shot at the national side an enormous favour leaving the strugglers Aston Villa in the Championship
