With Southampton’s fans player and player’s player of the season, Oriol Romeu linked with a move away, the club will be looking to replace him and it could be a Spaniard for Spaniard switch if 27-year-old holding midfielder, Ignacio Camacho signs for the club.

You may remember in last seasons summer and winter windows there was interest for Camacho by several Premier League teams including Saints, West Brom, West Ham and Watford and I feel that the Malaguista would fit in with the physicality and the style of play in England’s top tier.

Last season his defensive stats were among some of the best in La Liga with an average of 3.3 interceptions and five tackles per game.
