Liverpool could be set to bring in ANOTHER Southampton player if reports are to be believed, with Dusan Tadic linked to the Reds.

With the Virgil van Dijk transfer saga cooling off after Southampton’s threat to report the Merseyside club for an illegal approach, it seems like the club could turn their attention to yet another Saints player.

Since the south coast outfit’s return to the Premier League in 2012 Liverpool have signed no less than six Southampton players, a figure that could eventually rise this summer.

Reports in The Times have suggested that Dusan Tadic is the latest player being tapped up Jurgen Klopp’s side, something that may come as a surprise to Southampton fans.

The Serbian playmaker has blown hot and cold this season and scored just three goals in all competitions, whilst his assist total was nearly halved from the 2015/16 campaign.

In fact this past year was his worst stat-wise in red and white despite making more appearances than either of his other two seasons.

The report suggests that the Serbian has a release clause as low as £13 million, something which would appeal to the Reds as they could bring him in relatively risk free.

It goes on to suggest that the former Twente man would be interested in a move having become disillusioned at the club under Claude Puel. However half of the reason for Tadic’s unrest comes from a lack of playing time under the Frenchman, something that would make the move to the Reds slightly confusing.

Tadic had been linked to West Ham in a shock switch, but a move to Liverpool would be even more surprising, no less because of the wealth of attacking talent already at the club. Philippe Coutinho, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino make up the side’s attacking line, and all three are arguably better than Tadic.

Since joining the Saints the Serb has been the side’s main attacking playmaker, supplying the likes of Nathan Redmond or Sadio Mane since being brought in under Ronald Koeman in 2014.
