Goalkeeper. Southampton. FRASER FORSTER. 5. Had very little to do in the first half as both teams cancelled each other out in midfield for large parts. When called into action in the second half he ended up conceding twice. Not completely at fault for either but as ever you expect better. Seemingly watched the ball dribble in for the first goal and slow off his line for the second. Despite that, wasn’t helped out a huge amount by those around him.

3. An awful performance for about 88 minutes from the French full-back. Thought to be suited to the wing-back role more than the standard full-back due to him being a converted winger. Not the case today, was overawed by the pace and power of Wolves’ Vinagre and not confident when on the ball. Managed to drag a great chance wide in the first half. Only came to life and started attacking his wing when 2-0 down and game out of reach.. Right Wingback. Southampton. JEREMY PIED

4.5. Some dodgy touches and never seemed confident on the ball. Outmusclec on occasion when the ball was put into the Southampton box, struggled to handle the pace and strength of Dicko but was not alone in that.. Centre Back. Southampton. JAN BEDNERAK

5. Never in control of the defence, was all over the place for the second goal. Did make several key tackles and you feel without those the score would have been even more embarrassing. New system and coaching Bednerak into the team I know, but seen as the senior figure in the defence and didn’t quite perform how he has in the past.. Centre Back. Southampton. MAYA YOSHIDA

JACK STEPHENS. 4.5. One of the worst games I have seen young Jack play in a Saints shirt. Tried to run with the ball and was often caught out. Struggled in the back-three as found himself too wide on occasion and could do nothing but foul a Wolves player to ensure he recovered his position. Another who was all over the place for the second Wolves goal.. Centre Back. Southampton

Found himself some joy in the first half, bombing down the left wing and producing crosses that needed to be attacked by his teammates. Not convincing defensively, but as a wing back it is expected to be a slightly more attacking force. Faded in the second half but still found himself in good forward positions. Left Wingback. Southampton. SAM MCQUEEN. 6
