Southampton return to action tomorrow, as they host Marco Silva’s Watford with both side’s going into the game undefeated.

Roll the clock back four months and many Southampton fans thought Marco Silva was the man to replace Claude Puel at St. Mary’s. Tomorrow the Portuguese man will lead his Watford side into a game against Saints’ manager Mauricio Pellegrino.

With three senior signings and Virgil van Dijk back training with the first team, Southampton’s squad is looking strong going into the campaign, but they just need to score more.

Ahead of the game against the Hornets, Saints Marching got the views of Watford FC Polls on Twitter, who felt that the Saints have started the season well:

"He said: “Almost identical to ours, five points from nine and still unbeaten. Both clubs have new managers and with new ideas it will make for an interesting watch. I expected a few extra points from the Saints at this point, but Huddersfield have surprised many.”"

With Manchester United being the Saints’ first ‘real competition’ in a fortnight, Pellegrino’s side will be desperate for at least four points from their next two games, in order to make the most of a relatively easy start to the campaign.

Watford meanwhile have already played Liverpool and face Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City next weekend, meaning their unbeaten start comes after facing tougher opposition.

More from Saints Marching

The last match-up between these two teams produced seven goals, meaning their is no better setting for the Saints to break their goal-duct, having found the back of the net from open play just once.

Meanwhile Watford’s back-line has been ever-changing so far this campaign, and Hornets supporters suspect that that may play into the Saints’ hands.

"He said: “At the moment, it’s our ever-changing back-four. Injuries and suspensions have meant we’ve start each match with a different defence. We have managed well with two clean sheets, but this stat can be misleading.”"

The Hornets have been busy over the summer, breaking their transfer record twice and even splashing £18 million on Burnley’s Andre Gray for added pace up-front. However, their surprise arrival is the 20-year-old Richarlison, who is seemingly the dangerman in tomorrow’s game.

"He said: “Our biggest threat is Richarlison. In just a few appearances so far, the young Brazilian  has shown many of ‘Europe’s elite’ showed interest in the winger. He has pace, power and a great attitude. Al of these ingredients make for a talented forward.”"

Southampton versus Watford is set for a 3:00 PM kick-off, tomorrow afternoon.
