Fraser Forster

Like Virgil van Dijk, Forster did a good job of preventing a cricket score and had a good game irregardless of conceding four.

The English stopper made a handful of good saves to give the Saints a glimmer of hope, although it was obviously all in vein.

Forster’s improvement in form had originally coincided with the Saints’ positive performances. Beforehand, the 29-year-old was on the receiving end of a lot of criticism after a string on unconvincing performances saw him dropped from the England squad on two of three occasions.
