Ryan Seager – Milton Keynes Dons

It has been a difficult season for the MK Dons so far. They are currently 19th in League 1, and only 2 points above rivals AFC Wimbledon in the drop zone.

At 21 Ryan Seager is a lot less experienced than fellow Dons strikers Kieran Agard and Osman Sow, but he has had his chances to prove his ability. Early in the season he saw a lot of game time, scoring twice in two consecutive September fixtures.

Unfortunately his lack of consistency has led to a severe decrease in playing minutes over the past few months. Seager has started only once since the start of October, in a 2-2 draw at Charlton. And in that match he was replaced by Agard who subsequently scored both of the away sides goals.

With the January arrival of 19 year old Iko Ugbo from Chelsea, Seager is now in danger of becoming further marginalised. If the contract allows it, there may be a case for recalling the striker from Milton Keynes and looking for a more suitable opportunity elsewhere.

Otherwise his season and his development could well stagnate.
