Strikers and Substitutes

Really failed to get anything going tonight.  His talent was negated by Brighton sitting so deep.  Gabbiadini came on for him late, and it was probably the right move.. Striker. Southampton. SHANE LONG. 6

Southampton. GUIDO CARRILLO. 6.5. Came on as part of the double switch at half time, and paired with Long up top.  You can see the lack of connection with his teammates, but that is to be expected.  Worked really hard and tried to make his mark.  However, was not a threat in the air, and missed a couple of chances to really change the game.. Substitute Striker

Southampton. SOFIANE BOUFAL. 6. Looked visibly unmotivated coming on at half time.  Fans cannot understand why he is not starting, but mentally he is not developing.  Still wants to do everything on his own, and the strikers do not have a clue when a cross is coming.. Substitute Attacking-midfielder

Substitute Striker. Southampton. MANOLO GABBIADINI. 5. Had 15 minutes to make an impact, but it was the same old story.  His teammates don’t understand his runs off the ball, and routinely miss him.
