Sofiane Boufal
The Morrocan only came on at half-time for Southampton but looked far and away our most dangerous player, causing the Brighton defence more problems than the rest of the team combined.
Whilst he isn’t obviously the finished article, the ex-Lille man knows how to beat a defender – and if there was somebody to properly coach him how to make sure his final ball is as dangerous as his mazy runs, he would be a top player.
Boufal is obviously a divisive player both in the stands and on the manager’s bench, with Mauricio Pellegrino using him only in spells this season, but I think with a solid run of games and some good instructions from the coaching staff, he could be a really important player in the relegation run-in.
