With Southampton struggling to get results in league play and Hughes searching for answers will he look to re-introduce the Norwegian into the lineup?

Moi, enjoyed a string of starts in the midfield for the Saints until he picked up a knock in training and he did not feature in the Chelsea match. The former Basel player has struggled a little bit adjusting to the Premier League but each time he has featured he has shown improvement.

One of his better performances came in the 2-2 draw against Brighton on the 18th of September. He completed 82.6% of his passes while getting off 3 shots in the process (according to WhoScored.com).

He then followed up that performance with a solid showing at wolves producing three shots and completing two key passes. He has shown confidence on the ball and bit of creativity that would be helpful to a side like saints who struggle to be creative at times.

Elyounoussi could be used in a variety of ways if Sparky decides change formations or if he decides to stay with the 4-4-2.

More from Saints Marching

He seems most comfortable on the right side of the pitch in the midfield or in a more advanced winger position. Which means he can feature in both a 4-4-2 formation and a 4-3-3.

A front three of Elyounoussi, Ings, and Redmond could be an option going forward and something that Saints fans could get excited about with the recent form of the two Englishmen. Moi and Redmond have the ability to beat players on the ball and create space opening up the game and creating a bit of excitement Southampton supporters have been craving.

Hopefully after the break, all of the players return healthy and Hughes has a full squad to choose from. There are points to be had in the upcoming fixtures and it is important the best players are at there and performing to the best of their ability. Elyounoussi, could have a big role to play in the survival of the saints this season.
