Ralph Hasenhuttls first home game as new Saints boss commences this Sunday, with Arsenal the team looking to make it back to back defeats under his reign.

‘Klopp of the Alps’ has had a rather tricky start to the premier league, with his new look Southampton side falling to a 1-0 defeat to relegation rivals Cardiff City last time out.

Despite being over two weeks until the January, where manager and fans alike will be looking for fresh players to come into the squad, Hasenhuttl has already strengthened in areas – bringing in former colleague Danny Rohl as his assistant coach. The pair worked together during a very successful two season spell at German outfit RB Leipzig, and will be looking to duplicate such success over in England.

Looking over to the away dugout, the Gunners will be looking to build on their unbeaten run in all competitions, with the streak reaching to twenty two games without loss after their midweek triumph in the Europa League. The Emirates laid host to Qarabag on Thursday night, with Arsenal carrying out a professional 1-0 victory that saw them top the group and reach the knockout stages.

Saints, with no wins at home this season, and no wins against a team in last seasons top six in their last 29 outings, have an almighty battle on their hands if they want to get a positive result out of the game.
