Shane Long, Striker – 5

Was asked to win jump balls all day long and took the brunt of a few hits.  Should have done better on a Cedric cross in the first half, but was not prepared for the far post delivery.  Played the full 90 plus minutes and a lot of fans are going to wonder why.  Is just not a goal-scoring threat on a team that clearly needs goals to win.

Charlie Austin, Striker –  5.5

A very quiet first half, but wants to work for Hasenhuttl.  Was pulled out wide on the wing too often today.  Didn’t get the service he needs, and was lifted for Tyreke Johnson when he ran out of gas.  Impact play of the day was the early ball to Elyounoussi that should have been an assist.

Marcus Barnes, Substitute Attacking-Midfielder – 5

Barnes was also handed his senior debut, and was given 20 plus minutes to make a difference, but did little of note.  You can tell he can run, but tactically was on a totally different page than his teammates.

Tyreke Johnson, Substitute Striker – N/A

Only given 10 minutes, but barely touched the ball in them.
