A move from the South coast has been rumored and it looks like it will be coming to fruition as Cedric is expected to join Inter in the coming days.

According to the Italian site gianlucadimarzio.com, the two sides are in advanced talks that would see the seasoned right-back join Inter Milan this month. The site does not report the cost but it has been rumored to be around £20m.

Hasenhuttl’s has shown no one is safe and he is going to build the team that he wants and shape it to what he believes he needs to succeed in the Premier League.

More from Saints Marching

Cedric has been a leader on the team for some time now but it may be for the best for both sides that he leaving. His form has not been what it used to be and it seems age may be catching up to him. A fresh start at a historic club like Inter, may be just what he needs to rejuvenate his career.

The past four season have had their ups and downs and with a rotating cast of managers it can be hard to stay positive and a change of scenery is needed.

With the Portuguese defender leaving, it must mean the Austrian has someone lined up as replacement or he has a lot of faith in the youngsters, Valery and Kane. Either way, we have to trust he is confident in what he is doing and that he will continue this positive run of form. He has given us no reason to doubt him thus far and this move could prove pivotal down the road when the season is in its final stages.

If and when the move is confirmed we wish Cedric this best and thank him for all he has done for the club.
