Midfielders

Oriol Romeu, Central-Midfield – 7

Some good defensive work for his side with three tackles and three aerial duels won.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Central-Midfield – 7.5

A nice run to shift the Liverpool defence out of shape for the Saints opener and a flicked header to set Long up.

His role in the side becomes much more active when he is given a licence to get forward.

James Ward-Prowse, Right-Midfield – 6.5

A fairly quiet game for the England international who was dangerous with his corners as usual.

Nathan Redmond, Left-Midfield – 7.5

Bright. His direct running from the left worried Liverpool and almost produced something for his side.

Let’s hope he continues this strong end to the season in the final six games.
