Manager, Goalkeeper and Defenders

Ralph Hasenhuttl, Manager – 6.5

Right to give players a chance to show their worth but it just didn’t pay off. Will need to have his best side out for a season finale next weekend.

Fraser Forster, Goalkeeper – 5.5

Good to see him back in the side after over a year but the long lay-off perhaps showed with the way he conceded the third goal. Some decent saves otherwise though

Yan Valery, Right-Back – 5

A mistake as Arnautovic opened the scoring. Seems a lot more comfortable as a wing-back with defensive support behind him.

Jack Stephens, Centre-Back – 5

Confusion between him and Bednarek. Could be one of the players out the door in the summer.

Jan Bednarek, Centre-Back – 5.5

Having become so used to playing in a three-man central defence, he and Stephens weren’t on the same wavelength.

Ryan Bertrand, Left-Back – 6

Better as a natural full-back than a wing-back but nothing too remarkable about his game today.
