Nathan Redmond

The number 22 recently picked up the club’s player of the season award, and with good reason.

Since being the scapegoat in many quarters last season, Redmond has worked to improve in the summer and is now reaping the rewards of his effort.

The Englishman was one of the few consistent performers under previous boss Mark Hughes and has only gotten better under Ralph Hasenhüttl. This season the attacker has been quicker to make positive decisions, and more willing to use his pace to create opportunities.

Redmond’s goal against Huddersfield, is testament to the player he has become in a red and white shirt. After receiving possession from Ings, the Englishman takes the ball past the defender and towards the centre of the D.

After using his pace, the former Norwich man lashes the ball over the crowd of players and into the back of the net. It was a goal not worthy of a drab game, but one which the 25-year-old richly deserved.
