Southampton: International Saints unbeaten in Euro Qualifiers yesterday
Southampton players, Jan Bednarek and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg played 90 minutes yesterday while Mohamed Elyounoussi was an unused sub in his match.
Let us do a recap of each match and how our International Saints did individually.
Jan Bednarek: Poland 4-0 Israel
The Polish side absolutely dominated their opponents in front of the home crowd who were celebrating their 100th year anniversary. Goals for the home side were scored by usual suspects like, Robert Lewandowski and Krzysztof Piatek.
Jan Bednarek started in his position of Center-back and collected another clean sheet for his home country. He played all 90 minutes and had a tackle and interception to help make Fabianski’s day easier
Bednarek has become constant figure in the Polish back line and will likely be in their plans for many future tournaments.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg: Denmark 5-1 Georgia
Another comfortable win for one of our Saints and Hojbjerg and the rest of the Danish national team made quick work of Georgia.

Although, not finding himself on the score sheet or in the assist column, our Captain completed a tremendous 100 passes at 89% accuracy and created 3 chances for his country.
Pierre, like Bednarek, seems to be a mainstay now on his national team and will be working alongside the likes of Christen Eriksen and Yussuf Poulsen as the Danes look to fend off Switzerland for a qualification spot.
Mohamed Elyounoussi: Faroe Islands 0-2 Norway
Moi, was not able to get in the match against the Faroe Islands. He did not make an appearances in either of the Norwegian qualifiers this time around.
The frustration has to be building for the midfielder as he is struggling to find playing time now for country as well as club.
