The move for the Milanese winger has been made official today and Moussa Djenepo will be in the Red and White at Southampton next season!

Saints announced that they had reached an agreeement with Standard Liege and that Djenepo will the join the club on a four-year contract on July 1st.

The move has gotten a lot of supporters excited and they have even hailed the youngster as the next, Sadio Mane.

The move was rumored to have been completed last week, but the club wanted to wait for Djenepo to get his work permit approved before they made the move public.

This marks the first move of the transfer window for the Saints and the first player Hasenhuttl has brought in during his tenure as manager.

More from Saints Marching

The 20-year-old, comes from Standard Liege with a reported fee in the region of £14m and is known for his skill on the ball and ability to beat people off of the dribble.

With it looking like Redmond is going to be playing in a more central role, it is reasonable to believe Djenepo is being brought in to play on the left-side, filling the space Redmond occupied last season. The youngster does have the ability to play on the Right as well as the Left.

Now, Hasenhuttl and the club have some decisions to make in regards with the other attacking wingers on the roster.

There have been some rumor of potential interest in Mohamed Elyounoussi and with the purchase of Dejenepo that could very well be enough for the club to sell the Norwegian at the right price.

Either way, Djenepo has the fans excited for the upcoming season and to see what he is capable of.

This is a strong start to the summer transfer window and hopefully the signings keep coming and the outlook on the next season keeps improving.
