Southampton: Saints to launch new bid to bring Adams to South Coast
According to a new report from the Telegraph, Southampton will pay £14m to bring the 22-year-old to the team and bolster its attack for next season.
Che Adams, has been a target for the Saints since last January when they had a £10m bid rejected by Birmingham. The striker now looks to finally be edging closer to completing the transfer this summer
The Saints, appear to be facing competition from both Burnley and Crystal Palace for the goal-scorer but it seems to be understood Southampton would be his preferred landing spot.
Adams, scored 22 goals last season with 4 assists for the Championship side and would provide Southampton with much needed pace and clinical finishing in front of net. He would absolutely be an upgrade at the striker position and for the price tag of £14m it would be a shame if the club failed to secure this transfer.

The Englishman represents everything Hasenhuttl is looking for in a player. As the Austrian was quoted in saying he does not want to bring in any players over the age of 24 this summer.
He wants to bring in younger players so he can mold them and teach them his system so they can execute it perfectly without any old habits rearing their ugly heads.
If, the new striker is brought in, it would spell the end of Charlie Austin’s, and possibly Shane Long’s, time with the club.
It keeps being reported that the club is looking to clean house and sell a number of senior team players this summer. Time is moving so the sales will have to happen soon as the pre-season is rapidly approaching.
Che Adams, should excite Saint supporters. He has a boatload of potential and if he stays focused and determined there is no reason to believe Hasenhuttl cannot turn him into one of the better strikers we have seen where the Red and White for some time.
