Aaron Mooy

Another Australian in Mooy was linked to St Mary’s by the Sun last month following Hudderfield Town’s relegation to the Championship.

The 28-year-old was a key man for the Terriers in their two-season stay in the Premier League and they badly missed his presence when he wasn’t available.

Mooy can play multiple positions in midfield but may not be a perfect fit for Saints currently.

His ability to deliver dangerous set-pieces is a plus but Ralph Hasenhuttl will be looking for attacking-midfielders with more dynamism.
