Jack Stephens

According to the Mirror (transfer live blog, 13:29 2nd July 2019), newly promoted Aston Villa are looking to bring Stephens to Villa Park.

Former Saints defender Matt Targett already made that move to the Midlands on Monday and Stephens could well follow him.

Despite getting some significant game-time in the past couple of seasons, the 25-year-old did make some defensive mistakes in 2018/19.

With 63 Premier League appearances overall though, he would bring some important top-flight experience to Villa.
