Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s presence on the pitch was missed. His leadership and high energy keep the squad’s mindset right even when things are not going our way and the team looked lost in the middle of the pitch at times.

The offense was stagnant without the Dane directing traffic and when the first goal was conceded nobody was out there to rally the troops and keep their heads in the match. Hojbjerg was used as a sub late in the match but it was just that, too late.

He missed the start of the match due to illness and I think I speak for all Saint supports when I say I hope he is 110% healthy come next Saturday because we will need him.
