Midfielders

James Ward-Prowse – 6.0

Ward-Prowse, has had a slow start to the season to say the least. It is not that he has played poorly he just has not really done anything to impact a game positively or negatively. You forget he is out there at times and this could just be due to getting adjusted to a new system.

His ability on the dead ball situations is probably what is helping keep him in the starting XI but if he does not step it up soon I could see Stuart Armstrong threatening to take his position.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg – 7.0

The Captain, put in another great shift and was part of a rock-solid duo in the center of the pitch with Romeu. Hojbjerg, had 6 interceptions in the match, 11 recoveries, and two tackles. He shut down everything and I really do know where we would be without him.

Oriol Romeu – 7.5

An electrifying performence by the Spaniard against United on Saturday. He was everywhere on the pitch and threw his body at everyone helping to stifle United’s attack in the middle of the park.

He had 6 successful tackles, 2 interceptions and 11 recoveries. If he and Hojbjerg continue to dominate the middle of the pitch like they did on Saturday, teams are going to have a very hard time facing Saitns.

Sofiane Boufal – 6.0
The Moroccan finally got to start in the Premier League again and would have to be a little frustrated with his performance. He did not really do anything in particular wrong just he just could not get past Aaron Wan-Bissake to save his life.

His passing could have been a bit better as well. I believe, Boufal, will continue to come off the bench the remainder of the season with a few starts here and there. He is a good player and will contribute to the success of this team.
