The first international break of the 2019/20 season has arrived and Southampton fans will be among many other supporters craving more Premier League action.

Just five domestic games have been played to date and any momentum that teams have built up will be disrupted as some players go off to represent their countries.

Teams in England from both the Championship and the Premier League continue their seasons on the weekend of the 14th September, but they will have to be prepared for further international breaks in both October and November.

Just six senior Saints players have been called up this time around though, whilst academy duo Christoph Klarer and Callum Slattery also travel.

Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl will be hoping that all of his men arrive back in a perfect condition for vital upcoming games against Sheffield United, Bournemouth and Portsmouth.
