Saints 3-2 Sheffield United, 1992/93 Premier League

Both sides faced off in the first season of the Premier League back in 1992/93, with a win apiece coming from their two clashes.

Saints would go on to finish above the relegation zone in 18th by just one point, whilst the Blades were slightly more comfortable in 14th.

The hosts streaked ahead in this meeting after goals from Kevin Moore and Jeff Kenna in the first five minutes.

Brian Gayle pulled one back for the visitors, but Iain Dowie made it 3-1 to Saints by half-time. A late reply from Ian Bryson for the Blades saw a 3-2 scoreline by full-time.
