Southampton make the trip to North London this weekend to take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

Ahead of the clash, fans of both sides would have been looking to official team news to show whether they would have their best players available for another important league match.

For Saints, it appears that they will be without exciting attacker Moussa Djenepo for an unspecified period of time.

In his pre-match press conference on Thursday, Ralph Hasenhuttl said:

"“I think we managed the game on Tuesday very well with the injuries. Only the long-term injured players, like Moussa (Djenepo), are still out. So far, we took a few new pictures and there isn’t too much to say at the moment. He is still out. We will take a bit more time, we don’t know how long exactly. He has no chance of playing against Tottenham.”"

Being without the Malian certainly limits the pace that Saints have in their forward line, but it will be up to other players to step up and fill the void.

Nathan Redmond is more than capable of this and returned from injury to start against Bournemouth last weekend before coming on as a substitute to score in the 4-0 win over Portsmouth in midweek.

More from Saints Marching

Sofiane Boufal has also looked motivated since being reintegrated to the Saints squad by Ralph Hasenhuttl and could be fielded with Redmond to provide creativity.

Second-choice goalkeeper Alex McCarthy played the full 90 minutes in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday but Hasenhuttl stated that he has a slight complaint; possibly opening up a place on the bench this Saturday for Harry Lewis.

For Spurs, many of their most important players remain available for selection as they and Mauricio Pochettino look to build some consistency.

A 2-1 loss to Leicester City in the Premier League and a shock defeat on penalties to Colchester United have come for them in the last week and they will wanting to respond in positive fashion.

The only main absentees that Pochettino will have to go without are Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon, who both joined the club during the summer (via Football.London)

No time schedule has been put on the latter’s return, but the former has been ruled out until the beginning of November with a groin injury.
