Attackers and Subs

Nathan Redmond – Attacking Midfielder: 6.5

If the story of the game is anything it is a bunch of players who just did not have their best performance nor their worst. The story is the same for Nathan Redmond who just did not look like his normal self. The offense was stagnant and he did not receive much support so it was easy to shut him down whenever he was on the ball.

James Ward-Prowse – Attacking Midfielder: 6.5

The academy boy, has had a difficult start to the season. Has not produced anywhere near the amount as he did last season under Hasenhuttl but this was a performance he can build off of. If he can get more touches and make more incisive passes he will become more effective in the midfield. Also, his corners could improve a little bit.

Danny Ings – Striker: 7.0

Along with Romeu, Ings has been one of the bright spots as well. He is the only consistent goal scorer in the squad and it’d be tough to think where we would be without him. Whenever he steps on the pitch he gives it his all for the club and it is really encouraging to see. Now, let us get him some support from the others.

Sofiane Boufal – Substitute: 6.25

Boufal came on for Valery in the 76th minute and tried everything he could to help the team get a winner. He drew a couple fouls and tried to dribble past loads of defenders but to no avail. Again, the offense was very stagnant and at times it was just he and Redmond trying to force things. Cannot really blame him for that.

Kevin Danso – Substitute: N/A

Danso came on in the 82nd and did not have any impact on the match.
