Through Balls

Southampton’s opponents Everton are considered to be very weak to through balls, and therefore for obvious reasons, this is a phase of play that Hasenhuttl should be looking to implement for the upcoming game.

Bringing Che Adams back into the line-up could be viable option, or for that matter of fact Shane Long as well; this is due to their natural pace off the ball and ability to cover a lot of ground quickly, implementing them to play alongside Nathan Redmond or Moussa Djenepo up top.

James Ward-Prowse and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg will also be must start options for the Austrian Hasenhuttl due to their passing ability, both have averaged 1.4 and 1.1 key passes pg during the course of this Premier League season.

Mentioned earlier, Everton have conceded 17 goals this season so far, the tied 6th worst defensive record in the league thus far, and therefore obtaining a result against the Merseyside club is not out-of-reach.
