Midfielders

James Ward-Prowse, Central-Midfield – 3

Captain for the day but looked incapable of leading a team in this situation. Didn’t seem to want to be on the ball.

When Saints went 2-1 down, there was no one rallying the troops and every player just stared at the floor. Leaders needed, no matter what league we are in.

Oriol Romeu, Central-Midfield – 4

He and Ward-Prowse struggled to get any control of the middle of the pitch.

Cedric Soares, Left Wing-Back – 3

Looked very uncomfortable and was hooked off a half-time.

Stuart Armstrong, Right Wing-Back – 5

Didn’t do anything wrong despite playing out of position and with an actual full-back in Yan Valery left on the bench. Deserves more time as an attacking-midfielder.
