Alan Ball

Ball joined Arsenal from Everton in 1971 and spent five years plying his trade in North London.

Overall, he made 177 league appearances for the Gunners and scored 45 times.

From there, he moved to Saints and spent two separate playing spells on the South Coast and made 195 league appearances in the process.

Ball would return to the club as manager for the 1994/95 season before moving on to take the Manchester City job.
