Southampton: Three previous Saints home wins over Watford

Saints 2-0 Watford, 2015/16 Premier League

Saints kickstarted their season and a run of 16 points from a possible 18 during January and February here.

This saw them respond from a poor set of results previously and helped them to their highest Premier League finish to date of sixth come the end of the campaign.

Shane Long opened the scoring after 17 minutes, but the win was only confirmed when Dusan Tadic doubled the lead late in the game.

Whilst it turned out to be a narrow margin of victory in the end, the stats were fully in Saints’ favour as they mustered seven shots on target to Watford’s one.
