Manager, Goalkeeper and Defenders

Ralph Hasenhuttl, Manager – 7

Set out his team well and their pressing was mostly excellent. Deserves great credit for this turnaround, but will need to a find a way to help his side see games out in the last 20 minutes.

Alex McCarthy, Goalkeeper – 6

Not troubled at all in the first-half, but had to make flying save to deny Pukki seconds into the second-half.

Cedric Soares, Right-Back – 5

Another display that highlighted that his head may not be at the club and that Valery is the future.

Jack Stephens, Centre-Back – 7

Dominant against the Norwich attack and has emerged as perhaps the most important man in the Saints defence at the moment.

Jan Bednarek, Centre-Back – 7

Strong alongside Stephens and some useful forward passes at times.

Ryan Bertrand, Left-Back – 6

Nodded in second after corner flicked on by Long. Steady, and his time-wasting skills must be admired.
